When cold winds are calling,
And the sky is clear and bright,
Misty mountains sing and beckon,
Lead me out into the light.
a white, golden-brown she-wolf stood at the top of a hill, giggling quietly to herself as she chased her tail. she stumbled to a stop, the world spinning around her in high speed. "Whoa. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea," her voice came out in another bubble of giggles as she tumbled over, rolling down the hill. she giggled the entire way down, gasping for breath once she stopped, landing on her back in a patch of dandelions. she watch as white fluff flew into the air, a few pieces landing on her nose and making her sneeze.
I will ride, I will fly,
Chase the wind and touch the sky,
I will fly,
Chase the wind and touch the sky.
Chase the wind and touch the sky,
I will fly,
Chase the wind and touch the sky.
she waited until she believed she'd have enough balance to stand up. getting to her paws, she wobbled slightly. she closed her eyes for a few moments, taking a few deep breaths before opening them. there, she thought, a smile on her face and a light shining in her coal black eyes. all better. with a huff, she trotted back up the hill, pausing at the top once more. she was small for a two year old, but she'd always been the runt of the litter when she was little.
Where dark woods hide secrets,
And mountains are fierce and bold,
Deep waters hold reflections,
Of times lost long ago.
And mountains are fierce and bold,
Deep waters hold reflections,
Of times lost long ago.
crows cawed above her, causing her head to look up and gaze at the sky in longing. how she wished she could be like them, flying wherever she want. if she ever got into trouble, she could always fly away if need be. but she was a wolf and no matter how much she wanted it to be true, wolves did not fly.
I will hear their every story,
Take hold of my own dream,
Be as strong as the seas are stormy,
And proud as an eagle's scream.
Take hold of my own dream,
Be as strong as the seas are stormy,
And proud as an eagle's scream.
but perhaps i can stretch and touch the sky, she thought enthusiastically, standing up on her two hind legs and pawing at the air. she giggled once she lost her balance and fell onto her back. she knew it was a foolish thing to think, but she still had pup qualities to her. she could be mature at times, when it was absolutely necessary, but she chose to see the bright side of things and embrace them.
I will ride, I will fly,
Chase the wind and touch the sky,
I will fly,
Chase the wind and touch the sky.
Chase the wind and touch the sky,
I will fly,
Chase the wind and touch the sky.
