"This is all your fault! You did this!" her anguished barks were heard throughout the camp as her dark form stalked angrily from the mother's den, lunging at her mate and managing to bowl him over. grief and anger consumed her, blinding her to what she was doing to her love. with a snarl, the black fae's head snaked forward and snapped at his throat repeatedly, her hind claws scoring down his exposed underbelly. pained whimpers and whines erupted from the silver-and-white brute beneath her.
finding the strength, he surged forward, the black fae letting out a surprised yelp as he pinned her to the ground. snarling in anger, she slipped from his grasp just as he lunged for her neck. an evil glint was in her ever darkening pale blue eyes as she lunged forward, wrapping her jaws around the brute's neck. slamming him to the ground, she began to shake him, enjoying the feeling of her teeth tearing into his flesh and the metallic taste of his blood filling her mouth.
"Sita! Sita, stop this at once!" Trinity's voice sounded behind the black fae and suddenly there was a sharp pain in her tail. snarling, the angered fae whirled around and faced her alpha. instead of anger, the fae looked at sita with sympathy in her golden eyes.
"Sita, go into the mother's den and calm down." Trinity had the choice of being calm instead of angry with sita and she understood that. hackles lowering, the traumatized fae gave a shaky nod and padded back into the mother's den, her tail tucked between her legs and her head lowered.
moments later, an anguished howl was heard from the clearing of the camp. "Where's that little b*tch!? She killed my son!" before she knew it, a large white fae was leaping into the mother's den, lunging for her throat.
the black fae awoke with a start, pale blue eyes wide with fright as the lake waters lapped at her fur. she'd been having nightmares of that day for a while now. there'd been two deaths that day; her mate's and her mate's mother. she'd had no choice with the mother; it was strictly self-defense, nothing more nothing less. a shaky sigh escaped the fae's maw and she rested her head on her paws, closing her eyes and listening to the lapping of the lake on the shore.
after a few moments she became restless. getting to her paws, the black fae looked out at the lake and tilted her head. a shiver ran through her as a dark thought passed through her mind. shaking her head, she quickly turned away from the lake and trotted towards the tree-line, afraid she'd do something she'd regret. once in the shelter of the trees, sita settled down near one and placed her head on her paws, closing her eyes but keeping her ears pricked and alert for any suspicious sounds.
